Refund policy.
Only one thing is currently sold: a session for an institution. This page sets out when that fee comes back, how any future app purchase would be handled, and the one thing a refund cannot reverse — the answers given during a session are already in an anonymous record and do not come back with the money.
Effective: 11 September 2026
This policy sets out the commercial terms, cancellation rules, and refund processing timelines for DemoCrez subscriptions and institutional engagements.
1. What is currently sold
- Consumer: Free plan + DemoCrez Premium at ₹999/year for deeper private insights and personal reports.
- Institutions: Separately quoted paid sessions, reports, and engagements. Ask us
- Everything on this website is free to read, and there is nothing on it to buy.
2. If we cancel or decline
Any fee paid is returned in full. This applies in every case, including where we decline after a booking has been agreed.
We may decline late — for instance on discovering that the batch is too small for a report to be produced safely, or that declining to participate would carry a cost for students. Doing that costs you a slot, and a full refund is the least of what is owed. Four reasons we would turn a booking down
3. If the institution cancels
Institution cancellation terms:
- ≥7 days before session: refund of advance less non-recoverable gateway/third-party costs.
- 3–6 days before session: 50% cancellation charge.
- <72 hours before session: non-refundable.
- Rescheduling: One free reschedule is allowed without rescheduling fee if requested at least 72 hours before the session, subject to availability.
4. If the session did not work
Judged on whether you received what was agreed, not on whether the result was interesting.
- The session could not run — a failure on our side, a facilitator who did not appear, a system that did not work: full refund.
- The session was interrupted such that the answers are unusable: full refund, and we would rather rerun it with a different batch than deliver a report we do not trust.
- The report was not delivered or does not contain what this site says it contains: full refund.
- The report is not what you hoped for — the batch split in an uninteresting way, or the findings were unremarkable: not a refund. A result you did not expect is the product working, and we cannot promise that people will disagree in an interesting fashion.
The last one is worth stating before a booking rather than arguing about after. What the report contains
5. App purchases, if there ever are any
Consumer purchases through Google Play or the App Store follow their platform refund rules and time windows. Duplicate or confirmed failed charges are refunded in full.
6. What a refund does not undo
Money is reversible. The record is not.
- Answers given during a session stay. They were appended anonymously at the moment they were submitted and are not attributable to anybody, so there is nothing to withdraw even where a fee is returned in full.
- A report already delivered stays yours. We do not ask for it back, and there is no mechanism by which we could.
- Nothing about a participant is affected either way. No student's data was ever attached to the commercial arrangement.
This is the same append-only property that appears everywhere else on the platform, arriving in a commercial context. The Reality Bank
7. How to request a refund
Write to hello@democrez.com with subject “REFUND REQUEST”, the session/transaction details, and what happened.
Approved refunds are initiated within 5 business days. Bank/payment-provider settlement may take an additional 5–10 business days. Duplicate or confirmed failed charges are refunded in full.
8. If you disagree with the outcome
Raise it with the Grievance Officer, who handles it independently of whoever quoted the session. Grievance redressal
Ask before you book, not after.
If a clause here would not work for your institution, tell us at the enquiry stage.
