Every term, one line each
Ten terms, defined as tightly as they can be. Each one links to the page that explains why it exists and what it costs, because a definition tells you what a word means and almost never tells you why anybody bothered.
The absolute difference, in percentage points, between the share you predicted and the verified share of people who chose that option.
Reported once per situation. Never summed across rounds, never averaged into a score, and never compared between people. A large Gap is information about the world rather than a verdict on you.
The moment your locked prediction meets the verified aggregate.
The fourth and final step of a round. Everything before it is setup; nothing follows it. The Gap is what the collision produces.
A situation in which every available option carries a real cost to somebody, so that no option can be called correct.
The property that makes a card worth answering. A situation with a defensible answer and an indefensible one is rejected before it enters the deck, because almost everybody would choose the same thing and there would be nothing to measure.
One of the eight areas of life a situation can belong to: Career, Relationships, Family, Money, Health, Society, Self, Ethics.
Each is a place where people privately do something other than what they publicly say. That is the only reason a territory earns a place; the list is not meant to cover life exhaustively.
A situation that has been reviewed and approved by a person, and is therefore allowed to reach people.
Sealing records a date and a card version. If the wording later changes, a new version begins rather than the old one being edited, and readings taken under the old wording stay attached to it.
The recorded approval by a person, required twice: before a situation is released, and before a reading is published.
Nothing publishes automatically, on a schedule, or because a threshold was reached. Crossing a threshold makes a reading eligible; a person still has to release it.
The minimum number of verified responses a card must collect before its aggregate may be shown to anybody.
Below the threshold nothing about the aggregate is displayed — not a partial figure, not an estimate, not a figure with a caveat. The threshold is set per reading type and applied by the system rather than card by card.

Entries are added and never edited or deleted. No entry carries an identifier linking it to a person, which is why nobody — including us — can retrieve what a particular person answered. Not to be confused with your private archive in the app.

You see whether you chose the same option, how each of you expected the wider public to answer, and whether you read each other correctly. Neither of you can see anything before the other has answered.
A reading run inside a small private group, which opens only once every member has answered.
The circle sees how it split as a shape — never who chose what, and never a ranking of its members. A circle is a container for a reading, not a record of a relationship.
Almost every term here names a restraint. That is not an accident — the vocabulary exists mostly to describe things the platform will not do.
