Everything Democrez can confirm on the record is on this site, and this page collects the parts a story usually needs. It also states plainly what we will not supply — chiefly any figure that has not crossed its response threshold and been sealed, regardless of the deadline attached to the request.

- Democrez
- Democrez is a measurement instrument for human judgment, based in Indore, India. It presents situations in which every option costs somebody something, records what people would do, and asks each person to predict what everyone else chose before showing them the verified figure. The distance between prediction and reality is called the Gap. Responses are anonymous and appended to a permanent record; no score, rank or interpretation is produced about any individual.
Getting the description right
- Not a poll. A poll records opinion on an issue. Democrez records what people would do when both paths cost something, and asks for a prediction first.
- Not a personality test. Nothing sorts a user into a type or describes them at all.
- Not a prediction market. Nothing is wagered, priced or traded, and predictions are about people rather than about events.
- Not an assessment. Institution reports describe a group. No individual is named, scored or ranked in any output.
The most common misreading is that this is a poll. The difference is one structural fact: you commit to a prediction before you are allowed to see what anybody else did.

Method, not results
The public readings page is empty. No card has crossed its response threshold and passed human review. A story written now is a story about how the thing is built and what it refuses to do — which is a real story, but it is not a story about what Indians think.

Each published reading carries its situation, its options, its response count, the threshold applied, the seal date and the card version. Everything a story would need to check it is attached to the figure itself.
If you are on a deadline
We will talk through method at any time, and we would rather do that than have the platform described from a press release. What will not happen is a figure being released early to be useful to a piece — the same refusal that makes a later figure worth citing.

- Capitalised when it names the measurement — "your Gap", "a large Gap". Lower case when it is the ordinary word.

- For approved logo and brand assets, write to hello@democrez.com. Please ask rather than lifting the wordmark from this site, which is a raster crop unsuitable for print.

- Press-resolution screens are available on request. The images on this site are compressed for the web and will not hold up in print.

Questions
Straight answers.
Can I get an early look at a figure that has not been published?
No. A figure that has not crossed its response threshold and passed human review does not leave, regardless of the deadline. That refusal is the reason a published figure is worth citing at all, so making an exception would remove the thing that makes the exception valuable.
How many people use Democrez?
We do not publish user numbers, and we would rather say that than supply a figure that flatters. Nothing on this site states a count of users, and a story quoting one has not got it from us.
Can you put me in touch with a user to quote?
No. Responses are anonymous and no record links a person to what they answered, so there is nobody we could identify as having given a particular answer — including to introduce to a journalist.
Which colleges have run sessions?
We do not name institutions or discuss any batch's result. If an institution wants to talk about its own session that is entirely theirs to do, and we will not confirm or deny it either way.
Is there anything to report right now?
Method rather than findings. The readings page is empty because nothing has been sealed yet, so a piece written now is about how the platform is built and what it refuses to do. That is a legitimate story; it is simply not a story about what people think.
Can researchers get access to the data?
What is published is public and citable, with its response count and method attached. There is no separate research export, and the underlying records contain no individual-level data that would make one useful.
Will you comment on a news event or a policy debate?
No. Politics and religion are excluded from the platform entirely, and commenting on them would place Democrez on a side — which is exactly what the exclusion exists to prevent.
